FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Record Attendance at
SPTechCon San Francisco

With more than 1,000 registrants and a twice-sold-out expo hall, BZ Media’s third SharePoint Technology Conference is a huge success

Huntington, N.Y., Mar. 9, 2010 — BZ Media LLC today announced the record-breaking success of SPTechCon™: The SharePoint Technology Conference San Francisco, as well as the dates for the company’s next SharePoint conference, in Boston.

SPTechCon San Francisco had more than 1,000 registrants – making the conference nearly twice the size of the company’s previous San Francisco SharePoint event, held in January 2009. Attendees were drawn to SPTechCon’s outstanding faculty. While many attendees focused on SPTechCon’s classes and workshops about SharePoint 2010, many others went to classes on older versions of Microsoft’s collaboration platform.

The show floor at SPTechCon San Francisco sold out twice. All booths and sponsorships were reserved by November 2009 – but the event organizers were able to secure additional expo space from the conference venue, and this extra space was also sold out. The final count was a record 52 exhibitors.

Ted Bahr, President of BZ Media and Conference Director of SPTechCon, said, “The SharePoint community has spoken – SPTechCon is the best place for administrators, developers and business users to learn about SharePoint. It’s also the best conference for third-party software, hardware and service providers to meet SharePoint customers, and to describe the benefits and value of their SharePoint offerings. We’ve excited by the rapid growth of SPTechCon, and look forward to another sell-out event this fall in Boston.”

SPTechCon Boston will be held Oct. 20-22, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge.

BZ Media is conservatively projecting 750-800 registrants, but given the incredible growth of the San Francisco event from 2009 to 2010, and the fact that SPTechCon Boston will be the first event after the official release of Microsoft SharePoint 2010, attendance could be substantially higher. More than 85% of the show floor has already been reserved by sponsors and exhibitors.
