iPhoneDevCon Offers Practical Training for iPhone App Developers, Marketers, Entrepreneurs
New conference to explore the practical aspects of building commercial and enterprise software for Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch devices

Huntington, N.Y., Jan. 8, 2010 — BZ Media LLC today announced iPhoneDevCon™ — the iPhone Developer Conference. The three-day conference will take place in San Diego from Sept. 27-29, 2010.
iPhoneDevCon will offer one day of intensive workshops, followed by two days of technical classes. The conference will include a tabletop exhibit area for companies selling products and services for iPhone developers. More than 300 software developers, marketers and entrepreneurs are projected to attend iPhoneDevCon.
The conference is owned, produced and managed by BZ Media LLC, which publishes SD Times, the newspaper for the software development industry. BZ Media also produces SPTechCon: The SharePoint Technology Conference, and ESDC: The Enterprise Software Development Conference.
iPhoneDevCon is an important educational resource for anyone building or selling iPhone apps. The focused, more conference is designed so that all iPhone app developers, marketers and entrepreneurs can attend — and can even bring their entire development team, thanks to special group discounts.
Ted Bahr, President of BZ Media and Conference Director of iPhoneDevCon, said, “The market for the iPhone is exploding. Enterprises are looking to educate their developers about the platform. Commercial software companies are jumping into the market, and startups and entrepreneurs need to get up to speed. The best place to bootstrap or extend your iPhone app effort will be at iPhoneDevCon in San Diego.”
Classes and workshops at iPhoneDevCon are split into three concurrent tracks:
• iPhone App Development: These technical classes/workshops are for all iPhone app developers, and cover all programming topics. The majority of sessions at iPhoneDevCon will fall into this track.
• Enterprise App Development: These technical sessions cover topics specific to developing apps for employees, business customers and partners, such as back-end integration corporate datacenter communications, ERP or CRM systems.
• iPhone App Marketing: These non-technical classes/workshops are for business owners, entrepreneurs and marketers who want to learn the most effective ways of distributing and marketing iPhone apps, including maximizing sales through the Apple App Store.
Alan Zeichick, Conference Chairman of iPhoneDevCon, and Editorial Director of SD Times, said, “The emphasis at iPhoneDevCon will be on building and marketing iPhone apps today. Every class, every workshop, will be practical, and where possible hands-on. If you’re new to iPhone development, come to iPhoneDevCon to get up-and-running fast. If you’re already working with the platform, come to iPhoneDevCon to hone your expertise.”
The iPhoneDevCon Call for Speakers is available online, and submissions will be accepted through Feb. 26, 2010.
iPhoneDevCon will also have a tabletop expo area, where companies can demonstrate their products and services for iPhone developers. For more information on exhibiting, please contact Ted Bahr, +1 631-421-4158 x101, ted@bzmedia.com
