BZ Media's Systems Management News Moves to a Monthly Magazine Format

Publisher responds to industry’s call for 12x frequency,
technology focus for IT management magazine

Huntington, N.Y., August 7, 2008 — BZ Media LLC, publisher of Systems Management News, today announced that the publication is shifting to a monthly frequency and standard 8x10-inch format, beginning with its October issue.

Systems Management News, launched in early 2008, is written specifically for IT managers in charge of operations, data centers, storage, mail & messaging, database, IT operations and other systems administration departments. Initially, Systems Management News was published twice-monthly in a 10x13-inch tabloid-sized format.

Ted Bahr, President of BZ Media and Publisher of Systems Management News, said, “We have listened to the enthusiastic response from readers and advertisers to our newest publication, and the message was clear: We needed to move to a monthly format to better accommodate advertisers’ artwork requirements, as well as rationalized print advertising budgets. Readers indicated that they like receiving news from our Web site, SysManNews.com, and our e-newsletter, Systems Management Week, but want more in-depth technical coverage in the print magazine. We’re meeting both those needs as of the October issue.”

The circulation of Systems Management News was 40,000 fully qualified, individual request subscribers as of its debut issue, and this is remaining unchanged in the new frequency and format. A BPA Audit has already been applied for.

With the frequency and format change, P.J. Connolly, Executive Editor of BZ Media’s SD Times, has been promoted to Editor of Systems Management News. David Rubinstein, who led the publication’s launch team, has returned to his previous position as Editor-in-Chief of SD Times.

Advertising rates begin at $3,895 for a 1x black-and-white page. BZ Media offers combined-frequency discounts for advertisers in the company’s other print properties, SD Times and Software Test & Performance, as well as packages that include Web and e-newsletter advertising and lead-generation programs. Contact Ted Bahr, Publisher, at ted@bzmedia.com or +1-631-421-4158 x101 to discuss rates and programs.
